Split//System

Description

Split//System is a VR dystopian Hack n’ Slash game. The player plays as a robot gladiator trying to escape from the monarchy of humans by fighting other robot gladiators in an arena, with the winning robot gladiator being set free as the reward. For the tutorial level, the player can choose to either play as a slasher or shooter, with special enemies designed for each combat type. For the player, the goal of this game is to survive as long as possible. After the player clears the level as either the slasher or shooter, they will encounter the final level- a level combining both the slasher and the shooter, with enemies coming from all directions around the player.

Every persona has unique movement, strengths, and special attacks that can be learned through progression.

Development

Split//System was created as a full release  project for a Rapid Game Development course, built completely from scratch in a period of six weeks.
